What is Creativity?
Creativity is, in my own terms, using you mind to create something unique. That unique thing can be a book, a movie, a song, or really anything you can imagine. I believe creativity is something you can be born with, just like your hair. Like your hair, creativity grows and changes as you get older. You can lose some of your creativity and you can get it back slowly. Creativity is something everyone has, some more than others. Even if you don't think you're creative, just remember the imaginary friend you had as a kid or that weird dream from last night. You creates those things in you head and no one else has ever thought the exact same thing.
Creativity is a part of what makes everything and everyone different and important. Creativity is what I'm trying to do in this paper. It's creating something no one else ever has or will. For example. Shakespeare and his works are some of the most creating pieces of literature ever. No one has ever written any play or sonnet exactly like his. Or maybe someone more modern like Taylor Swift is a better example. No one could ever write one of her songs, in the exact same way, just from their mind. If I tried to write a song like her, despite how hard I try, it could never be the same. Just like if you tried to write this paper exactly the way I did, without reading it. It's impossible because we are all unique and because of creativity, our thoughts could never be exactly the same.
I think that creativity has a specific appearance too. I think that creativity looks like the Mona Lisa or Starry Night. It looks like books and plays and movie etc. Creativity looks like nothing else in the entire world and it's beautiful.
I don't think creativity is something you can learn... completely. I think it is possible to grow your creativity, but it has to be there in the first place. Taylor Swift didn't learn how to write her songs the way she does, she just knew how. Shakespeare didn't learn to write Hamlet, he just did it. Maybe you can learn how to use your creativity but I don't think you just learn creativity. I learned I could use my creativity to write, but I was never taught to be creative.
Creativity is something vital to the world. If there was no creativity Einstein would have never thought of his theory of relativity. Steve Jobs would have never thought of the mac, Bill Gates never would have created Microsoft. The world we live in now wouldn't exist without creativity. so many people would be bored out of their minds and maybe struggling a lot more in life.
Creativity is what so many people use to express themselves and what they love. I use my creativity to write stories and Taylor Swift uses it to write songs. Shakespeare used it to write sonnets and plays and Van Gogh used it to paint. Creativity is the best and most interesting thing I know.
